Photo taken at his last boat show, the Conneaut Lake Classic Boat Show June 27, 2010. The boat in the background (1942 Century Seamaid 17') is the first speed boat he ever saw up close... The boat was being worked on after minor damage from an accident back during WWII...
It was also the first speed boat he ever took a ride in... Ironicly one of the last photos of dad has the same boat in the background... On this page you will see this same boat a number of times over the last 60 + years....

Charles R. Miklos, Sr., 81, of Bellevue, PA, died Sunday, July 4, 2010, following a brief illness. Born December 20, 1928, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Charles L. and Helen Merz Miklos. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a Purple Heart recipient. Mr. Miklos was past president and current vice-president of the Northgate School District Board of Directors, a member of North Boroughs and Brighton Road Kiwanis, a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Emsworth, and past president of Century Boat Club. He worked for Prudential Insurance in Avalon for 16 years, and for the Pittsburgh Port Authority, retiring in 1995. He worked as a bus driver for Lenzner Coach Lines until 2008. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lois, in 2005, and by two sons, Charles R. Miklos, Jr. in 1960 and Edwin C. Miklos in 1966. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Lowrie Miklos; seven children: Suzan Miklos Hunt (Robert) of Bellevue, Paul Miklos (Susan) of Grove City, Frank Miklos (Trudi) of New Sewickley Twp., Helen Miklos of Bellevue, Marjorie Miklos O'Malley (Dan) of Avalon, Erik Miklos (Leslie) of Washington, PA, and Robert Miklos of Bellevue; 18 grandchildren: Charlene Hunt, Robert (Heather) Hunt, Jacqueline (Ed) Kuth, Jessica Hunt, and Ali Hunt; Michele, John, Alexander, and Julia Miklos; Deanna and Alan Miklos; Michael, Lauren, Brendan and Matthew O'Malley; and Joshua, Nathan and Calvin Miklos; three great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Kaylee Hunt and Ariana Usher; and a sister, Patricia Ditmore of Havre de Grace, MD.

Photo taken summer 1960 while working on a 1958 (1960) Resorter 16'. This boat crashed into a wall on the Allegheny River, August 17, 1958. Chuck purchased the remains and rebuilt the boat. It started out as a 1958 boat, when it was rebuilt it looked like a 1960 model.
