Canal-front home, 3 bedrooms, sleeps 7-8.

The House
This beautifully -maintained 3-bedroom home sits right on the canal and features large front and back yards. Sit in the yard or relax on the deck and enjoy the peace and quiet. The canal is home to ducks and geese, beautiful blue herons, turtles (watch out – they snap!), and muskrats. You may even catch a glimpse of one of the bald eagles that nest in the area! In the evening, the crickets chirping and the frogs croaking will lull you to sleep in minutes.

Inside the cottage, you'll find everything you need for your time away from it all – but you won't find phone, cable TV, or internet connections! This vacation is about getting away from it all! (For the die-hard workaholics, there is cell phone reception, though.) A wood stove/fireplace will take the chill off the spring and fall evenings. In the summer, lots of windows, screen doors, ceiling fans, and a whole-house fan keep the house cool and comfortable.

The full kitchen is equipped with all cooking and eating utensils, and both bedroom and bath linens are provided. All you need to bring is food and some cold drinks to sip – and your swimsuit!

Things to Do
The house is just a short walk down the lane to the lake, where you can swim in a private association-only beach or enjoy a picnic lunch. Stroll along the quiet roads in the association, or take a bike ride through the neighborhood.

Conneaut Lake Park, home to one of the oldest wooden roller coasters in the world, is just over a mile away and offers timeless family fun. Golfers can enjoy any of several full courses, and families can relax with a game of miniature golf at one of the nearby putt-putt courses. You can also enjoy swimming at public beaches both in the park and in the town of Conneaut Lake.

While you're here, you have to visit the Spillway at Linesville, where the ducks walk on the fish. ” Toss bread and fish pellets to the fish, ducks, geese, and seagulls that spend their summers at the Spillway. Enjoy great fishing on both Conneaut and Pymatuning Lakes. Bring your boat and tie up at the dock right in front of the house (water conditions permitting). A public boat launch is less than a mile away!

Where to Eat
The area offers a variety of dining options, from family-oriented restaurants to sports bars to fast food and chain restaurants. There's even a Tim Hortons!
