2008 Fall Workshop #2
Saturday, November 22, 2008
The Second fall workshop of 2008 was held at Chuck Niceley's Garage in Applewald, PA. It was a cold day but we got the work done.
Bill Markel brought his 1934 Century over to the workshop for evaluation.
The old owner thought this boat was a Century Scamp, because of the decking that was on the boat. But looking at the boat it is evident that the decking was added. This fact changes what model the boat actually is. The boat is a 1934 Century Rascal. (The Rascal and Scamp used the same hull.)
Chuck's 1941 Garwood.
We then moved over to a local marina to work on Chuck's 1957 Chris Craft 31' cruiser. The cruiser needs new canvas on the cabin top. The windshield had to be removed as well as all of the top hardware.
Some rot damage.
Tom englart building an engine cradel. This is for his Chris Craft Riviera.
Tom Shannor warming up his hands.
Bracing added to the windshield to protect it from damage.
The windshield loaded into Chuck's truck, it went back to his garage to be refinished.
